Pisky Cottage Goes From Strength To Strength

No More Rain Please!

We have got an amber flood warning...Oh please don't let us have another flood like last November.

Been out to have a look at the harbour and it is a very strange brown from all the water comming down from the valley...And high tide is now...It's a worry with the police and firemen already here bless them.

One area of the village has been slighly flooded but seems all under control?

Mevagissey has only recently got fully back on it's feet from the last flood.

Anyone reading this please wish us luck.

Mabel Is Getting Her Winter Coat

Any of you that have stayed here will know our cat Mabel is the friendliest cat and greets everyone with the same interest and gusto...She is still the same bless here heart and just loves it here at Pisky Cottage.

So all of you will know that our Mabel is a heafty lass...but at the moment her coat is growing for the winter with that same gusto she greets you with, which is making here look huge and thats being kind...She now looks the size of a small donkey.

The other day when she was sat down Andy said that she looked like a light bulb...I think it's clipper time and a diet for Mabel.

Mabel where have you gone, Mabel come back...MABEL...

Oh The Joyous Guest

Have been away for our hols to the lake district which we love...We arrived back this monday after a great week away.

I don't get it...We were so ready for a break after 4and a half months of seven days a week and getting up to do breakfast for our guests and don't take this the wrong way as we love what we do, but couldn't get away fast enough...If I saw one more full Cornish and another room to service I felt that the world would end (slightly dramatic I know...But this is Howie writing this and you will see what I mean by this as blogging continues.

Now today is our first day back open and are awaiting our first guests since we went away and they are due here at around 8pm...I CAN'T WAIT!

Everything I was wanting to get a break from is now the only thing I could imagine doing...I love my job...I love getting the rooms ready...I can't wait to do breakast again in the morning (I have really missed it all)

I have done more polishing, dusting and plumping than is normally humanly possible and LOVED IT!

Two more guests arriving tomorrow as well...How lucky am I.

Nearly Two Years On

Hi All...This is Pisky Cottage bed and breakfast in Mevagissey Cornwall.

We thought it time to get a blog going about our little place here in Cornwall...We are nearly two years down the line now from when we started here in April 2009 and have met many many lovely guests...Thank you all for your support and to those of you (you know who you are) who have visited us regularly and have now become friends...We thank you sincerely for you support.

Nestled within the quaint fishing village of Mevagissey in Cornwall we aim to continue through the winter with great rates and special deals, which of course will include our popular al a carte breakfasts, promising to leave you enough room for a Cornish Pasty, Cornish ice cream or a Cornish cream tea with Cornish clotted cream...Yum.

Autumn is a great time to see our surrounding area with the Lost Gardens Of Heligan on our doorstep and also the Eden Project so close to us as well...

Must close now I think I can smell Andy's homemade Cornish Pasties...Oh heaven on a plate
